Domaine Bruno Clair: Vosne-Romanée, Aux Raignots, Premier Cru

This Pinot Noir, grown on a small plot of just 0.078 hectares, thrives in clay limestone soil with an east/south-east orientation at an average altitude of 330 meters. Planted in 1948, these mature vines produce a wine that’s as rich in history as it is in flavor.

Vinification is carefully managed with 30–50% whole bunches and a maceration period of 10–15 days in wooden vats, enhancing the wine’s depth and complexity. The wine then matures for 18–20 months in oak barrels, of which approximately 35% are new, imparting subtle woody notes and a sturdy structure.

Upon tasting, the wine unveils a deep red robe, with a nose brimming with red and black fruits. It offers a spectacular aromatic complexity and exceptionally silky tannins, making it a standout choice. Ideal for laying down, this wine reaches its peak with a minimum of 7 to 8 years of aging, promising to evolve beautifully over time.
